Namrata Bhatter is a visual artist from India with a MA in Visual Communication Design from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, London, UK and a BA in Graphic Design from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India. An enthusiastic plantsman, her artistic practice is informed by issues of environmental ecology, sustainability and man’s relationship with nature. Inspired by diverse artistic traditions and studies from life, her compositions employ intricate lines, miniscule dots, stylised forms and repeated patterns. Her works are a celebration of the botanical world and the harmonious balance of textures and colours found within it. Namrata has lived and worked in New Delhi, London and Detroit and continues to work as an independent artist and designer in California, USA. She has exhibited in the The Other Art Fair - Los Angeles in 2022 & New York in 2023. She has been part of many group shows online and in galleries such as Mercury20 Gallery, Rosebud Gallery, Latela Curatorial and British Council India amongst others. Most recently her work has been selected for promoting a city wide art event in San Francisco called San Francisco Open Studios.
