While studying at Central Saint Martins I was selected to participate in a week long UX Design workshop hosted by Tamar Gur & Andrew Greenham from BBC UK. The brief for the workshop was to come up with an idea for an app for which the audience were students like us.
Game Plan
London is an extremely eclectic city to study in where one can never get bored due to the sheer number of things that are there to see, do and take part in. However as a student it is also quite expensive to do all of those things! Having said that what truly makes London great is the wide variety of things one can do very cheaply only if you know what to look for and where! A large percentage of students in London are international and hence aren’t well versed with what the city has to offer in a limited budget. Game Plan was a solution to the same. The idea was of an app that works like a game ( slot machine) where it gives the user different combination of things they can do within 10 pounds. Not only is it budget friendly but also gives students the option of engaging with the city in different ways with very little effort (and money).
We worked in groups of three to ideate, interview students, test the app with an analog prototype and create a rough visual of what it may look like.
